Bravely Default 3DS XL cases, preorders open ⊟
I was checking to see if Amazon had Bravely Default available to preorder yet, and indeed the site has finally added the 3DS JRPG. You can reserve the Collector’s Edition (includes the game, an art book, a soundtrack CD, and 34 AR cards) now too for $49.99, which is actually $5 cheaper than what GameStop is asking for.
While rummaging the site for those links, I also spotted these neat 3DS XL cases, which are available for $11 before third-party shipping. AFter reading Simon Parkin’s review for Bravely Default, I really can’t wait until this comes out here (February 7)!PREORDER Bravely Default, upcoming games

This sure is something I use everyday though. Between homework or favorite TV shows I’m trying to hunt for shiny Pokemon. It’s a device that I’ve become very much attached to, and it holds a significant value to me, as my boyfriend got it for me before he went off to college.
Please don’t charge your 3DS like this ⊟
That thing looks so close to breaking from the charge cable and falling to its doom. And then what will you play Pokemon or the new Zelda on?
Ry-Spirit explains, “God knows why theres a wall socket that’s so freakin high in this hotel room. Anyway I had to use it. No choice.” But isn’t that another outlet near the baseboard?! I presume the one up there is typically used for some kind of light fixture — even with the chair, how the hell did he reach up that high to plug in the charger?
Seriously, this is freaking me out. Don’t do this.BUY Nintendo 2DS and 3DS/XL consoles, upcoming games
The 3DS XL Case of Luigi ⊟
Hori offers this excellent 3DS XL case featuring the Man of the Year for $16.99. There’s a Mario one too, but who cares about that guy.BUY Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon ($10 off), upcoming games
So for ergonomic reasons and the fact that I can’t see 3D, I’ve recently gotten myself a 2DS. This leaves me with this Blue Pokemon XY 3DSXL which I figured I’d give away since trying to sell it hasn’t proven very fruitful.
Specifically there’s the System itself, the box, the AR cards, a charger, and basically everything that came with the system other than the Club Nintendo code. It has seen light use but is in very good condition.
It’s a US 3DS and thus can only play NTSC games and so I’ll only ship to the US, Canada, or Mexico.
Rules are simple, you get two entries, one reblog and a like. On November 9th I’ll dump the entries into an RNG and give it to the person who pops out.
If you’re following me I’ll throw in a $20 code of the Nintendo e-Shop as a bonus!
Have fun and good luck
Japan’s fresh to death Orange & Turquoise 3DS XLs ⊟
I’d for real buy both of these. They come out in Japan on November 28 for ¥19,900 ($204) each. Also headed to Japan: the gold Legend of Zelda: Link Between Worlds 3DS XL bundle (December 26, ¥22,800 or $234). So, the bundle has been announced for everywhere but the U.S. now.BUY Nintendo 2DS and 3DS/XL consoles, upcoming games
Custom Ace Attorney 3DS XL cases ⊟
Another slick production from Tony Sarkees, an actual attorney! I wonder if many lawyers have played Capcom’s series, like, “Finally, a game about my life.”BUY Nintendo 2DS and 3DS/XL consoles, upcoming games
I had a dream this existed so I had to make a mockup. I was very crushed when I awoke to find out it wasn’t real.
Spiral Heart Stylus? Little Luna charm? Sparkly Gem? Yes. And a game to go with… omg.
The game cover is brilliant. Actually, all of it is, and it needs to exist. You should email it to Bandai Japan and Nintendo ♥
Pokémon X/Y 3DS XLs coming to U.S., Europe ⊟
Two weeks before Pokémon X and Y release on October 12 (the same day the Nintendo 2DS models launch), Nintendo will release these rad red and blue limited edition 3DS XLs featuring legendaries Xerneas and Yveltal — that beautiful gold system isn’t making it over here unfortunately. Priced at $200 each, these XLs ship on September 27, and do not include copies of the game, digital or physical.
Also announced during Nintendo’s Direct presentation this morning, a Pokémon Bank service/app that lets players store up to 3,000 creatures online from X/Y — great for collectors and people who want to pass their Pokémon down to their descendants. There’s a new (presumably DSiWare) app called Poké Transfer, too, that enables players to move creatures from Black/White and Black/White 2 to Pokémon Bank — the catch is that there’s an annual service fee for the Bank service, though there will be an initial free trial period.PREORDER Pokemon X and Y, official strategy guide, upcoming games
Nintendo 2DS/3DS/3DS XL comparison ⊟
This pic comes via ONM, who saw and touched one of the new sure-to-sell, weird looking devices.
In other Nintendo 2DS news, a chart on Nintendo’s UK site reveals comparison specs for the whole 3DS range. The 2DS screens are precisely the same size as the original 3DS, and all three use the same AC adapter. The 2DS, shown here with the Europe-exclusive Red/White model, is a bit heavier than the 3DS (260g vs 235g), and the battery life is just a tiny bit better (3.5–5.5 vs 3-5 hours).
It’s a good idea and is going to sell a bajillion units to Pokemon kids, but this thing is still weird.
